Dependent Eligibility Verification Appeals Extension Announcement

The Educators Health Alliance (EHA) Board at its April 29th, 2013 meeting gave the authorization for Xerox to extend the Dependent Eligibility Verification Process (DEV) Appeals Period until May 31st of 2013. 

*New*EHA Announces a Lower Cost Plan Option

On April 29, 2013 the EHA Board approved a new plan design that will be available to large and small EHA employers to offer as the benefit plan to any existing or new EHA subgroup. This new plan option will be available with an effective date of September 1, 2013.

New* 2013 EHA Retiree Seminars
The EHA is pleased to announce the following schedule for Retiree Seminars.  The EHA will be discussing the current health care plans including the $600 deductible, $1,500 deductible, and $2,850 Health Savings Account-Eligible deductible.  Union Bank will also be available to review the HSA options.  These Seminars are designated for future retirees.

EHA to Address Need for Lower Cost Plan Options

The Educators Health Alliance (EHA) Board at its February 15th, 2013 meeting directed the development of  "bronze-level" plan options  to be presented at the April 29, 2013 board meeting for decisions on selecting the plans and making them available to EHA subgroups. These lower cost plan options will have lower benefits and respond to the Health Reform developments of Shared Responsibility Requirements and Health Insurance Exchanges for “Small Employers”.
