EHA to Address Dependent Eligibility Verification Program Concerns

Lincoln, NE, May 10, 2017 - The Educators Health Alliance recently voted to suspend the Dependent Eligibility Verification (DEV) at the end of the current 2016/17 school year and address concerns that have been identified in the program recently completed.  The goal of this action is to ensure all members who are truly eligible, and only those truly eligible, will be able to participate in the best health care benefits in Nebraska.

Educators Health Alliance Selects Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska as Insurer

The Educators Health Alliance (EHA) Board of Directors at its August 25, 2016, meeting approved a resolution selecting Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska as the insurer for the EHA program for the September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2018 plan year.

EHA Announces An Optional Open Enrollment

All EHA subgroups will have an Open Enrollment unless it is decided at the local level to opt out.  This opting out may be applied at the subgroup level and requires the employer and the bargaining unit (for subgroups where one exists), to sign off on the desire to opt out.  Subgroups may opt out of the Open Enrollement by completing and returning this form to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska.  

*Submission Deadline July 1, 2016*
